Pierce Brosnan’s $100M Malibu home can’t entice a buyer

A former 007 is facing one of his more difficult assignments yet.

Pierce Brosnan —  who helped transform the iconic James Bond role into what it is today — is having a hard time selling his $100 million Malibu mansion, The Post has learned.

First listed back in September, Brosnan, 67, and his wife, Keely Shay Smith, 57, were hoping to cash in big on the oceanfront estate, but they may have to try another day.

Despite eight months on the market, Brosnan is not budging on the price.

The mansion’s Southeast Asian aesthetic was inspired by his time shooting the 1997 Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies” in Thailand.

In 2000, Brosnan purchased two neighboring lands following the success of his films for a combined $7.35 million, property records reveal.

Initially, the Brosnans lived in a ranch-style residence on the land before deciding it was too small for them, according to a 2020 interview they did with the Wall Street Journal.

Their nearly 12,500-square-foot current home took about a decade to complete.

Made up of five bedrooms and 14 bathrooms — and named the “Orchid House” — the property spans roughly an acre on Broad Beach, which is home to other actors including Danny DeVito and Dustin Hoffman.

The master suite spans about  4,000 square feet — larger than many houses — with his-and-hers fireplaces, an art studio and an expansive deck overlooking the ocean.

Other features include a theatre, a climate-controlled wine cellar for roughly 200 bottles of wine, a gym, a music room and a travertine-walled spa with two soaking tubs.

Outside, the estate has carved teak entry gates the couple brought home from Thailand. There is a saltwater outdoor pool with a waterfall and glass-enclosed areas for outdoor dining, “so you can have an outdoor dinner party and your napkins aren’t blowing around,” Smith explained in the Journal interview.

They also brought in sand to create their “own private beach above the beach,” she said, so their children could play close to the house.

Brosnan and his family have since relocated to Hawaii after their now adult children grew up.

“I love Malibu,” the Irish actor said. “It has my heart.” But these days, “home is very much here in the islands.”

“We have a new dream now,” Smith added.
