Isaiah Wilson’s second act is going just about as well as his first.
The troubled 2020 NFL Draft bust, whose career lasted less than a year and was mired by multiple run-ins with the law, dropped a hip hop/rap EP dubbed “Layup Lines” on Apr. 25 under the name “GGBOWZER.”
Early indications are the six-track, 16-minute album is an acquired taste:
Wilson, a Brooklyn native, was arrested three times in a seven-month span beginning in September that effectively ended his playing career with one game played.
He starred at Georgia for two seasons before being drafted 29th overall by the Titans.
The 22-year-old was traded to the Dolphins in March but cut just days later when he was caught dancing on top of a car instead of attending practice. Wilson was also late for his physical, on-boarding process and skipped optional workouts he had committed to.
