Two police officers were injured while trying to remove a fare beater from a subway station in Harlem on Sunday, police said.
The two cops were at 110th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem around 8:45 a.m. when they were assaulted while trying to remove the passenger from the 2/3 subway platform, police said.
Both were taken to Presbyterian Hospital, where they were treated and released, according to police.
The sergeant was headbutted and the other officer suffered a shoulder injury, police sources said.
