He once called himself the “busiest personal injury lawyer” in New York City — and was known for turning the toll-free 1-800-LAWYERS phone number into a multimillion-dollar business. The late mustachioed attorney Bruce Davis also lived in a nearly 7,500-square-foot mansion on a tony West Village block, which has just sold.
The estate of Davis has now sold the residence, at 25 W. 10th St., for $19 million, The Post has learned.
The estate listed the home for $25 million in March 2020, in New York’s earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic. StreetEasy shows the asking price later slipped to $19.99 million last summer.
Davis reportedly passed away in the home in 2018 at the age of 70.
Spanning more than 25 feet in width, the Greek Revival-style property dates to 1846, and sports five stories and a full basement. After climbing up a large stoop, the new owner — whose identity is not yet known — walks into a home with nine bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two powder rooms.
Other details include grand rooms with fireplaces, oversize windows that look out to the street and quiet gardens, and a sweeping staircase that connects the five stories. In addition to front and rear gardens, the home also has even more private outdoor space — including terraces off the parlor and fourth floors.
Davis had owned the spread since 1996, according to city records.
Jonathan Hettinger and Mark Thomas Amadei, of Sotheby’s International Realty — Downtown Manhattan Brokerage — had the listing.
