Rent the Runway x Hampton Jitney is making summer style easy out east

Summer is almost here, which means beach weather is just around the corner. If you’re lucky enough to have a house in the Hamptons (or a friend that does!), then it’s likely you’ll be making your way to Long Island soon to take advantage of the prime summer months.

If you’re a regular, then you probably already know all about the Hampton Jitney — a comfortable, convenient and affordable bus to get to your beachy destination.

Now that you have transportation covered, you’re probably wondering how you’re going to dress to impress this summer season. Our answer? Rent the Runway!

To make your summer style even more effortless, Rent the Runway and the Hampton Jitney are partnering up to take your fashion game to the next level — and make your clothing returns way more convenient. Instead of lugging your RTR shipment back to the city to return them, you can simply hand off your garment bag to your Hampton Jitney bus driver and they take care of the rest!

“We are absolutely thrilled to team up with Rent The Runway this season to provide an even more seamless and personalized travel experience to our passengers,” Hampton Jitney Marketing Manager Nina Bracovic told The Post. “As New Yorkers embrace travel with renewed vigor this summer, this partnership is the perfect opportunity to deliver added value to our customers as they rediscover the joy of exploring the Hamptons.”

All you need to do is register for Rent the Runway onboard returns when purchasing your NYC-bound ticket on the Hampton Jitney website. If you’re going to and from Southhampton, RTR will also have a new drop-off box location at the Southampton Hampton Jitney terminal for easy returns throughout the summer.

This partnership will kick off just in time for Memorial Day Weekend on May 28 until Oct. 12.

In case you are unfamiliar, Rent the Runway’s concept allows you to borrow high-end clothes and accessories for an extra-low price. You don’t need to dry clean any of the items and you can keep them for as long as you want or even purchase an item on the company’s website at a great discounted price. While most of the pieces are previously worn, they’re always in great condition and are sometimes brand new. Also, each season, pieces are taken out of RTR’s available stock to make room for new stylish apparel and accessories.

While some shoppers prefer to use Rent the Runway for a special event and return it afterward, RTR also offers a variety of membership plans that allows you to rent out a specific number of items at once, with no rush to return them.

Prices for memberships start at just $89/month for one shipment of four items, but the brand’s most popular plan includes eight items per month in two shipments for $135/month. Lucky for us, RTR is offering a special discount to new members as part of this partnership. Use the code SUMMEROFSTYLE for an exclusive discount on a three-month membership to RTR’s 8-item plan: $90 off your first 3 months.

“After the past year, we’re all ready to get back to weekend getaways and celebrations with the people we love,” Angie Hellman, SVP of brand and customer strategy at Rent the Runway, told The Post.

“As we tap into this collective excitement, we’re seeing customers bring a newfound sense of joy to getting dressed with their subscription to fashion. We partnered with the Jitney for onboard returns to save our customers time and help them maximize the value of their rentals as they embrace this moment.”
