There is no celebration of good times in The Bronx. The Yankees have reached a new low point. They got their rear ends kicked by the Red Sox over the weekend, getting swept and dropping to a lowly fourth place in the AL East. It was a 2-5 home stand and they’re 2-8 in their last 10 games. What can go wrong is going wrong for Aaron Boone’s squad. Should Boone be on the hot seat? Is Marcus Thames’ time as hitting coach running out?
To answer those questions and dive into what the heck is going on with the Bronx Bombers, we bring you a new episode of the “Pinstripe Pod” with Chris Shearn and Jeff Nelson, featuring a special interview with Robert “Kool” Bell of the iconic group Kool & The Gang.
Pinstripe Pod Opening Segment with Chris, Jeff & Jake:
- RED SOX SWEEP: Pathetic weekend from the Yankees. Hitting approach is a disaster. Alex Cora doing a terrific job with the Red Sox. They play old school baseball. Reacting to A-Rod’s comments saying “human beings win baseball games, not computers.” Rougned Odor and the brutal third strike call. Phil Nevin was one to react and not Aaron Boone, which was alarming.
- BOONE/THAMES: Should Boone or Thames be on the hot seat? If Yankees get swept by Twins, someone is likely without a job on Friday. Should they be getting more blame? Does Boone make it to the end of the season as manager?
