12 people hospitalized after Staten Island pepper spray incident: cops

A Staten Island man pepper-sprayed his neighbor during a squabble Wednesday night — sending a dozen people, including four NYPD officers, to the hospital, police said.

The two neighbors got into it on the fifth floor of an apartment building on Osgood Avenue near Fairway Avenue around 6 p.m., authorities said.

At some point during the fight, the man pepper-sprayed the 32-year-old woman — exposing her six children and boyfriend to the chemical, according to police.

The group and four NYPD officers who responded to the scene were taken to Richmond University Medical Center for pain and redness in their eyes and difficulty breathing, cops said.

The FDNY ventilated the building after the incident.

No arrests were immediately made.
