DoorDash driver threatens McDonald’s workers after he’s denied Happy Meals: cops

A Virginia DoorDash driver delivered threats to McDonald’s workers after they wouldn’t let him order Happy Meals during breakfast hours, authorities said.

Driver James Springer, 36, raged and promised to return to the fast food eatery in Aquia and “execute everyone” in an incident earlier this month, the Stafford County Sheriff’s office said.

Instead of packing up a to-go order, Springer packed up his BB gun and flashed it from his Toyota sedan in two separate incidents — later telling police he thought that was legal because of “decriminalization efforts,” a sheriff’s office Facebook post said.

While police looked for him after he left the McDonald’s on June 5, he allegedly flashed the gun at another car at a merge, then racked the slide of the gun and pointed it at someone in a parked car at a Panera Bread, police said.

“The suspect then lowered the gun and drove away,” the Facebook post said. “The victim reported he recognized the suspect as a DoorDash driver, but did not know his name.”

Springer later returned to McDonald’s, where he allegedly used “abusive and threatening language” — this time toward a customer. He was arrested at the restaurant, police said.

“A black BB gun was seized from the suspect vehicle,” the Facebook post said.

“The suspect incorrectly believed recent decriminalization efforts made it legal to point BB guns at people.”

Springer is facing charges of disorderly conduct, abusive language and four counts of brandishing, police said.
