Video shows limping gunman open fire on Bronx street in broad daylight

A limping gunman opened fire in broad daylight on a busy Bronx street — moments after at least two children walked down the block and other people stood nearby, new video shows.

The gunman is shown standing at the corner of Southern Boulevard and Jennings Street in Charlotte Gardens at 3:40 p.m. June 15 — firing off multiple rounds towards Hoe Avenue.

The footage, released by the NYPD Monday night, shows a group of people, including at least two kids, passing down the block seconds earlier.

Several people stood close by as the gunman fired into the street, the clip shows.

No one was reported hurt, cops said.

The shooter, who walks with a limp, is shown strolling off after the incident.

The incident came two days before two young siblings — a 13-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy — were caught in the middle of another brazen broad-daylight shooting at Sheridan Avenue near Mt. Eden Parkway in Mount Eden as a masked gunman fired at someone else.

It was reported to police that on June 15 in front of 1460 Southern Blvd., an unidentified male produced a handgun and discharged multiple rounds toward Hoe Avenue. DCPI

In that case, a 24-year-old man was shot in the back and both legs and listed in stable condition.

And around 10 p.m. June 13, three gunmen opened fire at Warring and Matthews avenues in Allerton, apparently during a shootout between two groups.

The trio is shown on surveillance video ducking behind parked cars and opening fire.

No one was hurt, but the barrage of bullets struck a nearby home and two parked cars.
