The internet wants an explanation from James Harden.
The Nets point guard was one of many stars in attendance at Sixers co-owner Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July “White Party” in the Hamptons this weekend. At the event, the 31-year-old was caught on video in an apparent tickle battle with rapper Meek Mill.
The back-and-forth was captured in the background of a video showing rapper Lil Uzi Vert breakdancing for guests, and has raised questions about what Harden and Meek were actually doing.
“Why the hell is James harden tickling meek?,” one Twitter user asked. More similar tweets followed, along with countless jokes and memes about the viral moment between the two.
“At first Uzi had me bugging but James Harden tickling Meek Mill got me on the floor,” another fan commented about the party clip, which was initially filmed by Uzi Vert’s girlfriend, City Girls member JT.

ESPN’s Jalen Rose and David Jacoby had a good laugh over the video on their podcast Tuesday. Jacoby labeled Harden and Meek’s exchange as “a tickle fight,” before asking Rose, “How ticklish is Meek Mill?”
Rubin’s big bash featured a star-studded guest list including the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, Jon Bon Jovi, J Balvin, Quavo, Winnie Harlow, and Bobby Shmurda.
Guests were entertained by performances from Kid Cudi, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby and Tinashe, according to Page Six.
Alex Rodriguez arrived at the party from the Bronx, via a private helicopter, where he commentated a Yankees-Mets game. The former Yankee united with his Timberwolves business partner Marc Lore.
