Man gets 12 years in prison for brutal 2018 sex attack on NYC mom

A sick creep who brutalized a mother in a Queens stairwell more than three years ago was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Tuesday, prosecutors announced.

Ronald Williams, 24, pleaded guilty last month to assault and attempted sexual abuse for randomly attacking a 52-year-old woman on April 30, 2018 in Kew Gardens Hills.

The victim — who had just dropped off her son at school — was left “virtually unrecognizable” by the vicious beating, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement.

Williams, then 21 and homeless, dragged her to the outdoor stairwell of an apartment building near 72nd Road and Kissena Boulevard, where he tried to sexually assault her, Katz said.

She was found by the building’s superintendent, covered in blood and naked from the waist down, The Post reported at the time.

About eight days after the attack, Williams was picked up at a motel in Columbia, S.C., and extradited back to New York.

According to a criminal complaint, the fiend initially denied that he tried to rape the woman, claiming to detectives that only wanted to rob her.

“I pushed her down the stairs. I wasn’t going to rape her,” he allegedly said, adding, “I punch her in the face a few times. I get angry and black out sometimes.”

The victim suffered a broken vertebra in her neck, a broken orbital bone, and also required four staples in her head.

Queens Supreme Court Justice Ushir Pandit-Durant on Tuesday sentenced Williams to a determinate term of 12 years in prison to be followed by five years’ post release supervision. A determinate sentence can’t be changed by a parole board or other agency.

As part of his plea deal, Williams will also be required to register as a sex offender.

“Although the defendant attempted to evade justice, he was apprehended and has now been sentenced by the Court,” Katz said.

Williams has a history of of assault dating back to 2017, when he attacked a 33-year-old woman in the Bronx, fondled himself in front of her, punched her and tried to rob her.

The brute was charged with assault in that case, but cut a deal and got off with just probation, The Post previously reported.
