Masked gunman sprays Brooklyn street, striking man as woman pushing stroller flees
Shocking video shows a masked gunman repeatedly firing into a Brooklyn street — hitting a middle-aged man in the foot and forcing a woman pushing a stroller to flee the volley of shots.
Dressed all in black — including a ski-style hood covering his head and face — the gunman was caught on cameras Monday morning as he hid in between parked cars in Boerum Hill.
He suddenly darts to the sidewalk, raising a handgun to fire at least four shots toward the intersection of Hoyt Street and Wyckoff Street.
As people flee, he runs into the middle of the street — firing more shots before marching away, the video from 9 a.m. Monday shows.
A man in a striped T-shirt and shorts turns and desperately bolts — while a woman pushing a stroller across the street toward the shooter quickly changes direction to avoid the volley of shots, the footage shows.
A 53-year-old man was hit in the right foot and was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition, the NYPD said.
There had been no arrests as of early Wednesday, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or via website NYPDCrimestoppers.com or at @NYPDTips.
