Woman put young son into trunk in full view of stunned witness: video

A homeless woman in Colorado stuffed her 5-year-old son in the trunk of a car, in full view of stunned witnesses, disturbing video shows.

Chelsea Trujillo, 33, was arrested Thursday by cops in Pueblo after footage showed her “forcefully placing” her young son in the trunk of her car Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Footage shot by a bystander obtained by KKTV shows Trujillo, whom police say is homeless, yelling at her crying son before slamming the trunk shut.

“Get in there!” Trujillo cruelly screams as she slams the trunk, the clip shows, enraging a woman who spotted her and took cellphone video.

“Dude, you can’t f–king put that kid in the f–king trunk!” the woman tells Trujillo. “You cannot have that goddamn kid in the f–king trunk! Take the f–king kid out the f–king trunk!”

Trujillo, who appears confused by the witness’ response, says she planned to take him out later before popping the trunk, freeing her son, as the eagle-eyed onlooker demanded. The boy then stands barefoot nearby and continues to cry, the footage shows.

Trujillo proceeds to angrily confront the female witness, who threatens to “tase” her unless she backs up.

“OK, listen … you don’t know my child,” Trujillo tells the woman, who wasn’t buying her explanation.

“You are not putting a f–king kid in no f–king trunk,” the incensed woman says as another man walked up to the scene, the clip shows.

Cops responded to a report of possible child abuse Wednesday and tried to track down Trujillo in her blue Chevy Malibu with no license plates. Police said Thursday they found her and the boy, who is now in the custody of child welfare officials, KOAA reported.

“Obviously, I think anybody who looks at that video would be concerned about the welfare of that little boy,” Pueblo police Sgt. Franklyn Ortega told the station. “We saw what you saw in the video, but we need to look at the whole thing, that’s why detectives are involved.”
