Two people were killed and two others hurt in three separate shootings overnight across the city, according to preliminary police reports Saturday.
In the most recent deadly incident, police found a 32-year-old man shot multiple times in front of 1196 East New York Avenue — the New York City Housing Authority’s Ralph Avenue Rehab — near Lincoln Place in Brownsville around 2 a.m. Saturday, cops said.
The victim was hit when an unknown gunman opened fire into a group standing in front of the building, police said. The victim, who was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital, was hit twice in the back, twice in the buttocks and once in the left elbow.
In addition, investigators found an 18-year-old woman shot in the right arm at East 98th Street and East New York Avenue; she was also taken to Kings County Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. There are no arrests. The name of the dead man is being withheld pending family notification.
Less than three hours earlier, at about 11:45 p.m. Friday, a 31-year-old man was fatally shot in front of the Marlboro Houses public housing complex in Gravesend, police said. There are no arrests.
Just before the Brooklyn shooting at 11:20 p.m. Friday in Harlem, a 41-year-old man was shot in the buttocks while standing on West 127th Street near Malcolm X Boulevard. The victim, who told cops he heard gunshots and then felt pain, was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, police said.
