It’s a “Field of Dreams” edition of the “Pinstripe Pod” today with Chris Shearn and Yankees legend Jeff Nelson. We discuss favorite baseball movies, the Field of Dreams Game and a live check-in from Iowa with The Post’s Ken Davidoff.
We have everything concerning the big game Thursday in Iowa and the Yankees’ playoff chase covered on the latest episode, so give it a listen, subscribe, rate five stars and write a nice review on Apple Podcasts.
Pinstripe Pod Opening Segment with Chris, Jeff & Jake:
- BASEBALL MOVIES: We start by talking about Shearnie’s Six Flags experience Wednesday. We then get into baseball movies and which ones are our favorites. Nellie says “Bull Durham,” Shearnie says “For The Love of the Game” and “Bad News Bears,” and I go with an underdog in “Angels in the Outfield.”
- HOT YANKS/SLOW SOX: Tyler Wade is sizzling hot and nobody expected it. Yankees lineup is not as good without Anthony Rizzo in it. What has happened to the Red Sox? May feel like an exhibition in Iowa on Thursday, but it’s an important game for the Yankees in their playoff chase.

Ken Davidoff Interview:
NY Post baseball columnist
- FIELD OF DREAMS GAME: Ken tried the apple pie hot dog there and won’t be having it again. A lot of excitement around the game. Some locals are disappointed how expensive tickets are. Important game for the Yankees. Memories watching “Field of Dreams” with their dads.
- STARTING PITCHING: Andrew Heaney will pitch. Yanks should have Gerrit Cole and Jordan Montgomery back next week.
