Cindy Crawford sells Beverly Hills house for $13.5M
She’s a supermodel. She’s a tequila entrepreneur . . . and she’s a real estate investor?
Famed catwalker Cindy Crawford sold her Beverly Hills abode to WhatsApp co-founder and neighbor Jan Koum last week for $13.5 million, making a $1.88 million profit.
The transaction brings the “Freedom! ’90” model’s total real estate profits up to about $8 million in the last six years — the savvy property mogul has sold almost $80 million in Malibu and Beverly Hills, California, homes since 2015.
She and her husband, Rande Gerber, purchased the 5-bedroom, 5½-bathroom home for $11.62 million in 2017 from OneRepublic rocker Ryan Tedder, Page Six reported at the time.
The midcentury modern home spanning 5,400-square-feet — was built in 1959 and has been completely redesigned. They initially put the house up for sale for $16 million in August 2020, according to the listing.
The home has high ceilings, walls of glass and an open floor plan, according to Realtor.com.
The double living room has a bar and an eye-catching stand-alone fireplace, and the gourmet kitchen has a center island made of Calacatta marble. The dining room has a glass skirting door, Page Six noted.
The gated, 1-acre lot has a motor court, a large pool and private walking paths, according to the listing.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency represented the seller and the buyer.
The 55-year-old model has been married to Gerber for 23 years and has two children, 22-year-old Presley and 19-year-old Kaia. The couple founded Casamigos Tequila with George Clooney in 2013. The company sold to Diageo for $1 billion (£79 million) in June 2017, according to Business Insider.
The pair also own a $3 million Miami home, a Canadian cabin, a $5.4 million La Quinta, California, mansion and a $12 million Malibu home.
