Grisly moment cops discover Wall Street escort’s body stuffed in barrel
Footage has emerged of the gruesome moment police found the naked body of an escort stuffed into a 55-gallon barrel that was dumped in New Jersey.
Aerial video shot by CBS 2 News shows cops surrounding the large plastic container after a horrendous odor led residents to discover the barrel turned coffin on a sidewalk in Ridgefield Park last week.
At least five officers could be seen inspecting the barrel that was later determined to hold the remains of 42-year-old high-end escort Nicole Flanagan.
Police were first alerted to the barrel on Aug. 13 after residents noticed the foul smell coming from it.
“It’s so scary to know that somebody just stuffed somebody in a barrel, like they are nothing. It’s so scary. That’s really brutal,” one resident told CBS 2 News. “I hope they caught whoever it was because I don’t want to have to look over my shoulder. I want my kids to be able to play outside.”
Neighbors also told the local news station that garbage pickup is on Fridays, so the barrel did not initially appear suspicious.
In the week since the discovery was made, grim details have emerged — including how Flanagan was stuffed into the barrel in a high-end apartment building in New York City before being dumped in the New Jersey neighborhood.
Flanagan, who was identified after cops ran her prints, was shown on the surveillance video entering 95 Wall St. in the Financial District the night before her body was discovered, police sources told the Post.
She came into the building with a man that sources say has since been identified by investigators.
The video captured the man later moving the barrel out of the high-end apartment building on a luggage rack and loading it onto a U-Haul at around 10:45 p.m. that same night.
A security guard at the building questioned the drum when it was brought in, but the man said he was moving, sources said.
Cops are still searching for the U-Haul.
Flanagan had previously been picked up for prostitution, according to the sources.
A Bergen County medical examiner found no signs of injury on the woman’s body and ordered a toxicology report, sources added.
She was from Greenwich, Connecticut and went by the nickname “Nicky B”, according to an online obituary and social media.
Her social accounts featured a series of quotes, including: “F–k with me when your Chakras are aligned” and “What can I say… I’m just ME.”
A Bergen County medical examiner found no signs of injury on the woman’s body. A toxicology report is pending.
The NYPD was brought in on the investigation on Wednesday.
A resident in the building said police have been focusing on an apartment on the 22nd floor that was occupied by two men in their mid-20s.
“The police are still up there and they’re looking for the two guys,” the resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Post from outside the building on Thursday.
The neighbor said the two men had moved in during the pandemic.
“They were cool looking, young. You wouldn’t think anything of them. They were very respectful to me and always would start a conversation with me in the hall,” he said.
The man added that “police asked me if I smelled anything funny” but he could only recall the smell of “pot and bad air freshener.”
“I didn’t smell anything out of the ordinary,” he said.
