Something is amiss with the Raiders and now, three executives have left the team.
President Marc Badain, controller Araxie Grant and CFO Ed Villanueva have all departed the organization and, according to Front Office Sports, left due to “significant financial irregularities that allegedly stretched back more than a decade.”
Badain, who worked for the Raiders for 30 years, resigned in July, a month after Villanueva and Grant moved on. The franchise is looking into the matter, Front Office Sports reported, and is being assisted by a legal team not employed by the Raiders.
“The successful construction and operation of Allegiant Stadium has been unequivocally the most challenging part of my 30 years with the organization,” Badain said in a statement released to ESPN. “Seeing it through to the end has been rewarding beyond measure. Together the Raiders and Las Vegas accomplished what seemed impossible. Now that the project is complete it is time for me to focus on my family and look ahead to new pursuits.”
