Man wanted for sadistic NYC subway staircase shove
Police are looking to derail a suspect who pushed a 31-year-old woman down a Queens subway station staircase — then brazenly jumped a turnstile and smiled while making his getaway.
Police on Saturday released a photo of the wanted man and a surveillance video clip of the turnstile leap.
Cops say the assault occurred Aug. 14 at about 4:50 a.m. inside of the Jamaica-Van Wyck E/F subway station.
The brazen bully shoved the 31-year-old female victim down the staircase, sending her tumbling and leaving her with injuries to the right side of her body, police said.
The assailant then followed the victim to the mezzanine area and then jumped the turnstile into the subway system, police said.
Police described the suspect as a man about 25 to 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a yellow jacket and dark-colored pants.
