The wrestling community is rallying around Daffney Unger after the former pro wrestler shared concerning videos of herself on Wednesday night.
“Do you guys not understand that I’m all alone?” a crying Unger said during an Instagram live broadcast while holding what appeared to be a pistol. “Remember, my brain goes to Boston.”
Police in Georgia have been trying to locate the 46-year-old, according to TMZ, while fans and fellow wrestlers took to social media in attempts to reach Unger (née Shannon Claire Spruill) after the videos were shared by the Twitter account Skulls Media.
On Wednesday night, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful tweeted, “For those concerned about Daffney, emergency services have been contacted and sent to her most recent known address.”
In a second update, Sapp tweeted, “Her family have been reached, and have her current address. She’d moved in the past couple of weeks. Police have been dispatched.”
Around the same time, WWE legend Mick Foley said on Twitter that he attempted to contact Unger but “my phone call went straight to voicemail.”
He added, “If anyone has a way of reaching Daffney Unger, or knows her address, please help out. She’s in a bad personal place and is threatening to harm herself.”
