A cab driver was shot in the head and a 15-year old shot in the stomach after an exchange of gunfire in Harlem on Saturday night, police sources said.
A 15-year-old male was standing on the corner of 131st Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday night when a vehicle pulled up and someone shot him in the stomach, police sources said.
As the 15-year-old fell, he allegedly fired one shot back at the vehicle but struck a nearby cab driver in the head. A woman and a child were in the cab, but were uninjured, sources said.
The 21-year male driver was taken to Mount Sinai hospital and is in critical condition, police said.
The 15-year old was arrested for firing back when police arrived on scene.
He is in custody and in stable condition recovering at Columbia University Medical Center, police said.
