Videos show NYPD, protesters clash outside of NYC precinct

Dramatic videos show angry protesters clashing with NYPD cops, pushing against barricades and dousing an occupied police van with gasoline at a Bronx precinct on Friday.

One clip shows protesters haul eggs and other debris at a police van, which later sped away to safety after one vandal poured gasoline on the vehicle at the 46th precinct.

Another video shows protesters breaching a barricade and police scrambling in response to the group at a second barrier while some in the crowd hotly engage officers.

Four protesters were caught on video helping each other climb atop a police van. One person can be seen waving some kind of flag while others hold up their fists and give the finger from the roof. It’s not clear if its the same van that was doused.

“While protesting, the group began to push barricades into police officers protecting the precinct as well as throwing eggs at a marked police van,” Sgt. Brendan Ryan, an NYPD spokesman said in a statement to The Post about the incident, which happened around 10:30 p.m.

“The investigation to identify the individual pouring the gasoline is underway and he could face state and / or federal charges for his actions. ”

The large group gathered outside of the precinct to protest the fatal shooting of 24-year old Michel Rosado, who reportedly fired “multiple shots” at two off-duty police officers nearby in the early morning of Aug. 29 before he was fatally shot by one of the officers.

Video obtained by The Post captured Rosado firing two shots as he exited a vehicle moments before he was killed  After Rosado was shot, his 44-year old father Rafael Rosado retrieved the gun and began firing back at the officers before running off, the video shows.

The elder Rosado was charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

The more than three-minute video does not capture Michael Rosado shooting at the off-duty cops.
