A broad daylight shooting in Brooklyn Friday left a man dead and an innocent bystander wounded, police said.
Two men opened fire in front of a building on Clifton Place between Marcy and Nostrand Avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant just after 5:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
A 23-year-old man, believed to be the intended target, was shot multiple times throughout his body and taken to Woodhull Hospital, where was pronounced dead, according to cops and police sources. He was identified as Jermaine Hill-Cross, of Lower Manhattan.
The 42-year-old male bystander was struck once in the rear end, and was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was expected to recover, cops said.
The gunmen fled on foot.
Officers recovered six .40 caliber shell casings from the scene, according to sources.
