Phil Collins-obsessed tot goes viral for ‘In the Air Tonight’ cover

He’s been waiting for this moment all his 3-year-old life.

Little Isaac Kearney’s adoration for Phil Collins paid off recently when a video of him passionately lip-syncing and air-drumming along to the pop star’s 1981 hit “In the Air Tonight” went viral.

“Isaac absolutely loves watching Phil Collins on YouTube,” Isaac’s mother, 29-year-old health care assistant Melissa Kearney, told SWNS.

Rewatching the Genesis singer’s performances online inspired the Liverpool-based boy — who was born with the rare genetic disorder Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome — to an Internet-fame-worthy performance when the track came on the radio recently.

“Isaac had actually fallen asleep in the car, on the way home from a shopping trip, when ‘In the Air Tonight’ started playing and he woke up,” Kearney said.

“Straight away his eyes [were] wide open and [he] started singing along, so I got my camera out,” she added, noting Isaac was “half-asleep” in the video but nothing could stop him from performing “his favorite song.”

Kearney initially began recording Isaac so she could show his grandparents the boy’s performance. But when she uploaded the video online, it became clear more than relatives found Isaac’s car-seat concert entertaining — and this isn’t the first time: Earlier this year a video of Isaac channeling Whitney Houston also went viral.

“He is a real character. He loves all the attention; this encourages him more when he notices people watching him,” Kearney said of Isaac’s reaction to the online love. “Isaac is the most fun, outgoing, brave, clever, caring, cheekiest little boy. He lives for music.”

One day, Kearney hopes to take Isaac to a Phil Collins concert. “He would be delighted if he saw him perform live. I can just picture him now with his drum actions watching Phil,” she said of the reportedly ailing 70-year-old musician
