Drunk patron stabs two people outside NYC bar: cops
A bartender was among two people stabbed outside an Irish pub in the West Village early Sunday morning by a drunk patron, police and sources said.
The fracas broke out at Grace’s Bar on West 14th Street near Eighth Avenue around 4:15 a.m. when the inebriated customer began arguing with a doorman, police sources said.
The bartender, 35, and another man rushed to help the guard but the customer pulled out a knife, stabbing the bartender in the hand and the other man in the left side of his chest three times, cops said.
Both victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital. The second man, whose age wasn’t immeidately known, was taken into surgery, cops said. He’s now in critical condition.
The attacker, who was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and Timberland boots, fled east on West 14th Street, police said.
