As leaves start to change color, texture and look — so does your wardrobe.
With the arrival of any new season, it’s a solid idea to Marie Kondo your entire closet, snag a new bodysuit or two and give your skirts a total refresh.
Luckily, the styling and shopping service Stitch Fix launched a new way to shop, just in time for autumn. The brand is now introducing Stitch Fix Freestyle — a new “personalized shopping “platform that’s filled with items based on your style quiz preferences.
“We’re all about style discovery and recognize that your taste in fashion is something that is constantly evolving,” Loretta Choy, Women’s General Manager at Stitch Fix, told The Post. “Stitch Fix Freestyle is one more way we’re helping clients at every step of their personal style journey. The inventory shown in your personalized shop refreshes frequently throughout the day, so new styles are always just around the corner.”
Stitch Fix Freestyle — Unboxed
While Stitch Fix still offers Fixes, the new Freestyle initiative is one more medium for the brand to make shopping even more personal. What’s more, Stitch Fix Freestyle offers a full suite of exciting features. Choy takes The Post on a tour:
- Trending For You: See shoppable outfits that we think will look great on you based on what we know about your style. Best of all, you can buy individual items or select a few and finish off your look.
- Complete Your Looks: This features surfaces outfits that we style around pieces you already own from Stitch Fix, which you can buy instantly via Stitch Fix Freestyle. This feature allows you to easily find the missing piece for an outfit and provides inspiration for how to style the pieces you already own.
- Featured Brands: Within Categories, you’ll find “Featured Brands,” which will consist of all the styles available for you from a particular brand. We’ll continue to add “Featured Brands” regularly, so please be sure to check back with us if your favorite brand isn’t listed right away.
- Categories: Simply click on “Categories” within “Stitch Fix Freestyle” and you’ll unlock specific shops with personalized recommendations, including:
- Shop By Department: Know exactly what you’re looking for? View our top picks for you by department and explore Dresses, Shoes, Denim, Shorts, Sweaters, Activewear, Workwear, Lounge & Sleep, Accessories and Bags and more, all available in your size and selected to reflect your style preferences.
- Fresh Finds: Within Categories, you can explore “Fresh Finds,” which includes seasonal favorites like graphic tees, micro florals and outdoor adventure styles during Summer. “Fresh Finds” will update based on the season (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) and curate trend-led styles during an existing season.
- Expert Picks: Coming soon, “Expert Picks,” will contain collections that have been curated by an “expert” with a unique style point of view (i.e. an influencer, celebrity, stylist). For people seeking fashion inspiration, these collections offer an engaging way to shop recommendations from style experts and much-loved style icons.
Yes, it’s exactly like having a personalized closet concierge that handpicks styles catered to you. And, it’s similar to The Yes — another popular shopping platform.
What brands should I shop from Stitch Fix Freestyle?
“Our clients are shopping brands across a variety of end uses,” Choy said. “For every day, she is responding well to Madewell, Free People, Sanctuary and Michael Stars. For Active and Athleisure options, Beyond Yoga, Nike, Under Armour, and The North Face are top picks. Our clients are also very satisfied with our private label brands, including Market and Spruce for everyday items and 41 Hawthorne for business casual.”
I had the pleasure of shopping from Stitch Fix Freestyle for the new season and, let me tell you, it’s a million times easier to have a personal shopping inventory all with the help of one platform. Freestyle is automatically a one-stop shop that replaces the anxiety of fishing for the best looks or combing through clothing racks at the mall.
On Stitch Fix Freestyle, you can individually shop for top brands like Adidas, New Balance, Vince Camuto and more. To honor the crisp, PSL-infused season ahead, I picked up a Vero Moda Finny Button Cardigan ($58), a dreamy burgundy jacket from Mo-Ka ($88) and a Madewell Patch Pocket Trucker Jacket ($135), among some other styles.
You don’t even have to think with Stitch Fix Freestyle; after taking a brief style quiz (you’ve definitely seen them before), you simply shop and sport your new looks.
Below, find our top 10 styles from Stitch Fix that are all less than $100 — while supplies last.
