City Council candidate Tiffany Cabán has some swag to offer that’s right in line with her Socialist point of view.
The candidate announced “some dope new” Defund the NYPD sweatshirts for a giveaway via her Twitter on Saturday.
The sweatshirts, designed by Astoria native Stacy Magallon, have “Defund the NYPD” on the back above Caban’s name, while the phrase “if it saves lives it’s worth doing” dons the front.
The candidate, who identifies as queer, also tweeted a rainbow-colored Cabán tote bag with large text reading “FUND CARE NOT COPS.”
Anyone who volunteers for one of her campaign events can have their pick of the merch, she said.
The “Defund the NYPD” merch comes after Cabán’s “restorative justice” plan that promoted scenarios where victims of crimes — such as violent muggings — could help their attackers by deciding their fate.
Councilman Robert Holden (D-Queens), in response to her ideas, told The Post the politician needed to participate in a “restorative reality circle.”
