J.D. Vance fried for asking for Trump tweets about Alec Baldwin

An author turned Ohio Republican Senate candidate asked Twitter to reinstate former President Trump so he can comment on Alec Baldwin as the actor contends with the aftermath of a tragic on-set shooting death.

In a widely panned viral post, “Hillbilly Elegy” author JD Vance tagged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

“Dear @jack let Trump back on,” Vance tweeted Friday. “We need Alec Baldwin tweets.”

Baldwin, who famously impersonated Trump on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” inadvertently shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42, on the set of his film “Rust” in New Mexico on Thursday.

The “devastated” 63-year-old Long Island native also injured director, Joel Souza, 48, when his his prop weapon discharged.

Trump frequently took to Twitter to rail against his impersonator before being banned from the site following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

Over 16,000 people responded to the 37-year-old author's tweet, including Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, who dubbed Vance as an “a—hole.”

Backlash to Vance’s tactless tweet was swift.

“Someone died, you a–hole,” Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, Vance’s potential Democratic opponent, wrote

“You are the inversion of the values of Jesus Christ,” actor Bradley Whitford replied. Vance’s bio says he is Christian.
