A woman was killed Monday night when a man stole an 18-wheeler and crashed into her Texas mobile home.
Eric Black, 39, allegedly stole from the big rig from a trucking company in Harris County before leading police on a brief chase at about 10:40 p.m., officials told KTRK.
The suspect then jumped out of the stolen truck before it plowed into the home that was occupied by four people at the time, police told the outlet.
The woman who died was in her 50s. Her husband had to be rescued after he became trapped under the big rig, the report said.
The man suffered severe injuries but is expected to survive.
Two other men at the home were uninjured, the report said.
Black, who was on parole, was charged with murder and reckless aggravated assault.
