Violent brawl breaks out at Miami dog show
A wild, caught-on-camera brawl broke out between attendees at a Miami dog show — prompting the event to get scrapped altogether, video shows.
Footage shared on Instagram showed attendees hurling punches, wrestling on the floor and tossing chairs at the Miami Bully Takeover hosted at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel on Saturday.
“We’re getting back. This s–t getting violent,” one attendee could be heard saying in the clip posted to filmmaker Billy Corben’s account.
Vivian Pedroso, a spokeswoman for the event, said the fight began around 7 p.m. when two women began feuding over something minor and others jumped into the action, the Miami Herald reported.
A voice over the loudspeaker could be heard in the video asking for security.
The incident ultimately caused the show to be shut down, the newspaper reported.
The event was billed as a “fun show” for pet owners, kennels, rescues and vendors — and welcomed all types of pooches, not just bulldogs.
“Top dogs and handlers from all over the nation will be coming out to prove who is the top dog,” the event description said.
