New York would be ground zero for a ‘zombie apocalypse’

I’m walkin’ dead here!

The Empire State is “the worst” place to be in the U.S. if a zombie apocalypse befalls us, according to a pre-Halloween analysis of gravesites by RantCasino.com.

With nearly 12.7 million bodies buried in the state’s 9,730 cemeteries, there would be more potential flesh-eating ghouls skull-king around Gotham’s streets than anywhere else, the data shows.

Neighboring states Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut were ranked second, 10th, 12th and 29th worst places, respectively, to live during a zombie apocalypse.

The best place to avoid the undead is Alaska, followed by Wyoming, Nevada, Hawaii, and Delaware, according to the online gaming and casino site.

The survey looked at “concentrations of graves” across the country via Ancestry.com’s Find a Grave site during and included data from 289,000 U.S. cemeteries.
