Dad appears to have passed on his musical abilities to the next generation.
John Travolta’s 21-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, showed off her singing chops to the social mediasphere in a viral video this week.
In a minutelong clip that has racked up over 229,000 views on Instagram since being posted Sunday, Ella croons an original song off her upcoming EP. “I know that she’s your light now,” the “Grease” star’s daughter sings while playing piano in the clip, which was originally posted to TikTok.
The video comes as a teaser for her upcoming musical release.
“There is something I’ve been working on for the past year that is very dear to my heart,” reads the post’s caption. “I wanted to share a part of a song that I wrote that will be on my EP coming out next year. Very excited (and nervous🙈). Hope you like it!❤️”
Among the blue-checkmarked comments of praise is her father’s own note of approval.
“I’m so very proud of you Ella, it’s amazing,” wrote the 67-year-old actor and Scientologist, signing off, “Your thrilled Dad!”
“a HIT kiddo!!! A HIT!!!!!!!!!” wrote Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, a loyal friend of John’s.
Ella is one of three children John had with his late wife, Kelly Preston, who died in 2020 following a battle with breast cancer.
In addition to the EP, Ella is also set to star in the upcoming “Alice in Wonderland” film adaption “Get Lost.”
“Here’s my daughter Ella starring in a live-action re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland! Called, ‘Get Lost’ I’m a very proud dad!” John captioned a July photo he posted of Ella in costume.
The movie will be her first lead role. Her previous credits include 2019’s “The Poison Rose” and 2009’s “Old Dogs,” both of which her father starred in.
