An Ohio home seemingly obsessed with carpets is up for sale.
The property, located in Columbus, is offered at a modest $325,000. But the good price tag doesn’t exactly make up for the different colored, sometimes garish carpeting featured in every single room and area imaginable — including the kitchen and bathrooms.
“It’s going to take $325,000 to get rid of the carpet,” one person joked in the comments section of the Instagram account Zillow Gone Wild, which recently posted about the wall-to-wall horror.
Made up of five bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms, the listing makes no mention of the excessive carpeting, instead describing the home as “rare.”
In one of the listing photos, carpeting can even be seen around the bathtub. The second floor boasts gray-colored carpets.
“In the tub! Who. Who are these people?” another commenter asked.
While the tan-colored carpeting throughout the home takes you back to the ’70s, other vintage features include wood paneling in the family room, yellow-painted walls and wooden sliding doors.
There is also bright orange carpeting in what is described in the listing as the “hobby room with a hidden area in the wall.”
“Mildew has entered the chat,” one user quipped.
Situated on 1 ½ acres, the home’s other features include an expansive front yard, a formal dining room and a casual dining space with a wall of windows. The kitchen comes with a family center — a desk with controls and a built-in intercom system.
Two large attics are also part of the structure but were used as closets by the most recent owners. In addition, the main bedroom features an outdoor balcony.
The home also boasts a nanny suite with a separate entrance, bathroom and kitchenette.
It was first listed in September for $359,900 before it received a $35,000 price cut in October.
The owners had purchased the home back in 1994 for an undisclosed price.
Kathy Chiero of Keller Williams Greater Columbus holds the listing.
