Aaron Rodgers teases possible attempt to slay Manningcast ‘curse’

Aaron Rodgers leaves breadcrumbs for the media in his weekly appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show,” and implied Tuesday he could attempt to slay the vaunted Manningcast curse in January.

Every current NFL player who has gone on — Travis Kelce, Russell Wilson, Rob Gronkowski, Matthew Stafford, Tom Brady, and Josh Allen — has had his team lose its next game. It was a topic for McAfee and co-host A.J. Hawk, a former Packers teammate of Rodgers, to discuss on Tuesday during Rodgers’ time on the show. The Green Bay QB let it slip.

“There’s a conversation about going on there in January,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers could be in line to be the first active NFL player to conquer the curse. The next Manningcast is slated for Jan. 3, a Week 17 tilt between the Browns and Steelers.

There are differering opinions on whether the “curse” is active or if it indeed has already been vanquished. Warriors star Draymond Green went on the Manningcast a few weeks ago, and the Golden State beat the Nets in its next game.

Rodgers doesn’t seem to be letting the possibility of a live curse sway him, though if there’s an impression out there that current football players have been ducking the Manningcast for fear of an upcoming loss, a source with knowledge of the program says that’s inaccurate.

“No one has turned down the show due to the curse,” the source told The Post. “The show is booked far out in advance.”
