Video shows NYPD officers save driver from burning car
New York’s Finest pulled a man from a car that was engulfed in flames in The Bronx, according to footage released by the NYPD Tuesday.
An officer responded to a fiery car crash at East Tremont Avenue and Randall Avenue in Throgs Neck on the evening of the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, the department said.
The cop tried to quell the intense flames with a fire extinguisher when he noticed the disoriented driver was still behind the wheel of the car with the airbag deployed, body camera footage showed.
He forced the door open and managed to pull the driver out of the car, according to the footage. Due to his quick work, the man sustained only minor injuries, the NYPD said.
The driver was not identified.
