In recent weeks, Robert Saleh has talked about the future as a way of dealing with the present.
It is understandable. At 3-9, the 2021 Jets are going nowhere. But Saleh has been preaching about patience and “the plan” — the way he and general manager Joe Douglas are going to turn the franchise around.
“This is the first time this fan base is actually experiencing something like this. Usually it’s been a quick fix, followed by a scramble. This is an actual plan,” Saleh said a few weeks ago.
