It was a birthday — and kiss — to remember.
To celebrate husband Pete Alonso’s 27th birthday on Tuesday, Haley Alonso posted a tribute to her Instagram Story, along with a throwback photo from the couple’s college days.
“2015 college us @polarpete20,” Haley captioned the photo of the twosome kissing.
Much has changed between now and then, including the couple’s relationship status. Last month, the Mets first baseman married longtime love Haley, nearly three years after announcing their engagement.
After celebrating their big day with friends and family — not to mention a few Mets stars — the Alonsos jetted off to Italy for a romantic honeymoon. During the trip, Haley kept her Instagram followers updated on the couple’s travels, including an ecounter with Pope Francis.
“Literally #BLESSED@franciscus,” Haley posted on Instagram in mid-November, which featured the pair sharing a moment with the pope.
As the trip continued, the newlyweds also enjoyed a sunest cruise, complete with bubbly, as well as wine tastings and fine dining.
“Montalcino and chianti were a dream,” Haley recently shared on her page.
While Alonso was away, however, the Mets made some major moves. Not only did the team add pitcher Max Scherzer, who agreed to a three-year, $130 million contract, but Starling Marte, Eduardo Escobar and Mark Canha were also brought into the fold.
Currently, the Mets are in the midst of their managerial search with Buck Showalter leaving the team “pretty impressed” after his first interview Wednesday, a source told The Post’s Mike Puma. Dodgers coaches Bob Geren and Clayton McCullough, Astros bench coach Joe Espada, Rays bench coach Matt Quatraro and Brad Ausmus, a former manger of the Tigers and Angels, are also in the mix.
