Men’s 2022 FIFA World Cup draw announced: Team USA schedule, group

With eight months until the men’s 2022 FIFA World Cup, the group-stage draw for the tournament took place Friday at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in Qatar.

This year’s contentious World Cup will take place between Nov. 21 and Dec. 18. The 32 countries competing will be split into eight groups of four in the group-stage round.

The United States Men’s National Team will be making its first appearance in eight years after failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Reigning champion France is expected to have another impressive run and Brazil is also regarded as a favorite.

What are the groups for the men’s 2022 World Cup?

Group A: Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, and the Netherlands.

Group B: England, Iran, United States, and the winner of the Wales/Scotland/Ukraine qualifying matches.

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Poland.

Group D: France, Denmark, Tunisia, and the winner of the Peru/Australia/United Arab Emirates qualifying matches.
