Much has changed for Collin Morikawa and fiancée Katherine Zhu over the past five years.

Leading up to Thursday’s 2022 Masters, Zhu — who has been dating Morikawa since 2017 — posted a sweet throwback photo of the couple from the US Amateur event, as the 25-year-old golfer readies to compete for his first-ever green jacket.

“5 years later … from the US Amateur to the Masters,” Zhu captioned the post on her Instagram Story, where she also shared a photo of the pair from Wednesday’s Par 3 event.

Morikawa has five career wins, including two majors with triumphs at the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 British Open. He is slated to tee off Thursday afternoon at Augusta.

It’s been an eventful few days for Morikawa, who recently celebrated his five-year anniversary with Zhu, a former college golf star, in late March.

“Happy 5 years together @collin_morikawa,” Zhu posted on Instagram at the time, “can’t believe how much we have been through together, from long distance for 2 years to moving in together for the last 3, getting a dog together and now we’re ENGAGED! can’t wait to spend a lifetime together with you!”

Morikawa popped the question in November, sharing the exciting news on social media.

“My forever and ever, I love you @katherinezhuu ❤️ 11.30.2021,” he gushed.

Although it remains to be seen when Morikawa and Zhu will tie the knot, he was asked about the upcoming nuptials this week after a reporter abruptly shifted the questioning to the golfer’s personal life.

“My friend said, ‘Boys want to get married, their game starts to get rusty. Ladies, when they get married, they win majors. Are you worried about that? Or it was a bad question, or you prefer not to answer?” the reporter said, to which Morikawa laughed and replied, “No, I’m not worried.”
