Father of suspect Kaitlin Armstrong says he believes she didn’t kill Anna Moriah Wilson
The father of the Texas yoga teacher in the middle of a deadly love triangle denied in an interview Tuesday that his daughter was capable of murder.
“I know her. I know how she thinks and I know what she believes, and I know she would not do something like this,” Michael Armstrong, whose daughter Kaitlin Armstrong is believed to now be on the lam following the death of Anna Moriah Wilson, said on “Good Morning America.”
Kaitlin Armstrong, 34, is wanted in connection to the murder of Wilson, a 25-year-old professional cyclist who was shot dead May 11 in Austin, Texas.
Pro cyclist Colin Strickland has admitted he was involved with both women — saying he had a fling with Wilson while on a break from his three-year relationship with Kaitlin Armstrong.
The yoga teacher and relator from Texas disappeared May 13, the day after she was interviewed in Wilson’s death.
Michael Armstrong told “Good Morning America” that he last spoke to his daughter five days ago.
“There are a lot of unanswered questions,” he said.
A vehicle similar to Kaitlin Armstrong’s was caught on surveillance video leaving the resident where Wilson was found shot to death.
Strickland told authorities he had changed Wilson’s number in his phone and had lied about being with the murdered pro-cyclist in an attempt to hide the information from his girlfriend, according to an affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman.
In an attempt to reach his missing daughter, Michael Armstrong said, “We love you [Kaitlin] and we are going to figure this out.”
Officials say that Armstrong may still be in the Austin area.
