Are Travis Kelce and Kayla Nicole still dating?
That seems to be the question some fans are pondering, even after the “Strong Is Sexy” founder shut down a recent report claiming she cut ties with the Chiefs tight end because he allegedly made her “pay half of everything” in their five-year relationship.
“Not sure where y’all got this nonsense from, but it’s absurd and very false,” Kayla tweeted last Saturday.
The Savage x Fenty ambassador was responding to a specific headline tweeted by Barstool Sports that read: “Travis Kelce’s Girlfriend Kayla Nicole Allegedly Broke Up With Him Because He Kept Making Her Pay Half of Everything In The Five Years They Were Dating.”
Kayla’s tweet did not confirm whether or not she and Kelce are broken up, which led fans to inquire about the status of their relationship. She went on to “like” a few tweets about false breakup rumors, but never divulged details about the situation.
In March, Kayla recalled meeting Kelce for the first time when she took part in an “ask me anything” on Instagram.
“He had been following me and insta-flirting for a few months,” Kayla, 30, wrote when asked how she met the 32-year-old Chiefs player. “All double taps and no dm. Soooo after a little liquid courage and a pep talk from @iqueenb (something along the lines of ‘WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR’) I dm’d him on New Years.
“Slid into that thang like it was third base, idk baseball so not sure that’s the best analogy, but ya,” she continued in a separate Instagram Story. “Anywho … lesson here is making the first move might be your best move sis.”
Kayla has since deleted an Instagram tribute to Kelce, which she shared earlier this year after the Chiefs’ season ended in an AFC Championship loss to the Bengals.
Kelce and Kayla were first linked in 2017 and briefly split in the summer of 2020. The twosome reunited later that year, and have been together ever since.
Kayla has been a staple at Chiefs’ home games throughout her relationship with Kelce, hanging out in suites with fellow NFL WAGs Brittany Matthews and Sydni Russell, the fiancée of former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu.
