Jason Momoa ‘likes’ both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s post-verdict statements

Fans of Jason Momoa were left baffled when the “Aquaman” star “liked” both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s statements reacting to the outcome of their blockbuster defamation trial.

Momoa, 42, was among a legion of celebrities who took to social media Wednesday to weigh in on the jury’s ruling, which found for Depp, 58, on all three of his defamation claims and awarded him $10.35 million in damages.

Momoa’s “Aquaman” co-star Heard, 36, won on just one of her counterclaims, to the tune of $2 million in compensatory damages, after a dramatic six-week trial in Virginia.

The feuding ex-spouses quickly fired off dueling statements responding to the verdict.

Depp wrote about finally feeling “at peace” after six years of facing “false, very serious and criminal allegations.”

“The jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled,” Depp stated.

Meanwhile, Heard lamented that she was “heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”

She warned that the verdict could be a “setback” for other women seeking to speak out about alleged abuse but choosing to stay silent out of fear of being “publicly shamed and humiliated.”

Unlike other Hollywood heavyweights who opted to throw their support behind either Depp or Heard, Momoa took a more diplomatic — and arguably confusing — route by giving both their statements his seal of approval on Instagram, where he has 17.1 million followers.

Heard starred opposite Momoa in the 2018 superhero flick “Aquaman,” but her role in the upcoming sequel, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” has reportedly been cut down to about 10 minutes of screen time.

A Change.org petition to have the actress removed from the film altogether has reached 4.49 million signatures as of Thursday — with the announced target set for 4.5 million.

Some commenters were outraged by the “Game of Thrones” alum’s apparent ambivalence and vowed to unfollow or block Momoa online.

“As a die hard Momoa fan who has been a fan for over a decade, I’m never going to look at him the same,” one user wrote on Twitter. “I’m heartbroken that he didn’t stand up for what’s right.”

Another critic called out Momoa for his apparent lack of intellectual consistency, writing: “He liked Johnny’s as well, but you can’t agree with both statements, that makes no sense at all!”

“Jason Momoa is just happy both teams tried their best, and he’s taking everyone out for pizza,” a third quipped.
