A Queens high school teacher was busted this week for allegedly sending explicit text messages to a teen student – threatening that “she would be dead” if she shared the texts with anyone, according to authorities and prosecutors.
Shannon Hall, 31, who teaches at Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences on Gothic Drive in Jamaica Hills, was arrested just before 6 p.m. Thursday and accused of sending the inappropriate texts to a 16-year-old girl, cops said.
The teen received several texts from Hall on May 24, one of which said, “I want to be with you,” according to a criminal complaint.
The next day at school, Hall texted the teen again, apologizing and saying he was drunk at the time, the complaint said.
But that same day, Hall also told the teen he was jealous of her relationship with another male student – and told the girl she should look out for him the same way he looks out for her. He also sent her other graphic texts.
The same teacher also grabbed and squeezed a 14-year-old student’s breasts over her clothing while she was in his classroom on May 25, prosecutors said.
He was charged with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child, sexual abuse and aggravated harassment in connection to the pair of cases, according to the complaints.
Hall is set to reappear in court June 28.
