A 40-year-old homeless man was charged with a deadly stabbing in Brooklyn, police said.
Derrick Davis is accused of knifing Christopher Reid, 33, in the chest just after 4 p.m. June 27, during a heated squabble in Brownsville, cops said.
Reid was fatally stabbed after a fight broke out with a man who police believed was his girlfriend’s former flame inside an apartment building on Fulton Street near Truxton Street in Brownsville, authorities said.
Reid was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The suspect took off from the scene, police said.
Davis is charged with murder, three counts of assault, menacing and two counts of acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17, cops said. It’s believed there were two children in the apartment at the time of the attack, leading to the last charge.
The NYPD announced the arrest late Friday night.
