This man’s water park trip was going swimmingly until he had a run-in with a little girl on a waterslide.
And after the video of the accident went viral, TikTok was divided over who was responsible.
A TikToker under the username @adrian_lionsonly documented his journey down an alternating aqua and purple tube at Island Waterpark in California. The video he posted has more than 11.5 million views.
“They told me to go and I hit a little girl!” flashes at the start of the video.
Viewers can hear his screams of excitement as he makes his way down. Then a noise is heard, which turned out to be a little girl who was sitting at the end of the slide.
A loud thump indicated that he knocked the girl over. Then the video’s text states, “You can hear her scream. I’m glad she was ok.”
The clip ends with the two of them in the water as his on-screen text says, “Life guards need to pay more attention!”
In the comments, a few people questioned why the little girl didn’t hop off the slide.
“Why was she sitting there?” read one comment.
“She was right at the end. She could’ve scooted herself,” read another.
Other commenters thought the TikToker was right to blame the lifeguards involved.
“It’s not her fault, she’s a child. It’s the lifeguards fault for not paying attention,” one comment said.
“It’s not her fault they need to make sure the first person is out to let others slide,” said another.
And a couple of commenters were more concerned about something that didn’t involve the accident at all.
“Not you wearing sneakers,” multiple comments directed toward his choice of footwear, to which he replied, “Water shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
