Antonio Brown trashes Tom Brady for ‘manipulating’ training camp break
So much for loyalty.
Two years after Tom Brady stuck his neck out to bring Antonio Brown to Tampa — a move that ended in Brown shockingly leaving the team mid-game against the Jets last season — Brown took to Twitter to criticize Brady’s leave of absence from the Bucs and his trainer, Alex Guerrero.
“Alex Guerra [sic] You think i won’t have smacked at TB12 boy stop playing with me !” Brown tweeted Wednesday morning. “Boy getting paid by bucks [sic] n taking players money too.”
He added in a second tweet: “Tom brady manipulate the game gets 14 days [to] go home get his mind [right] lol. Now u see the difference. Put that s–t on.”
Brady is taking a leave of absence from the Buccaneers to “deal with some personal things,” according to coach Todd Bowles. The break was scheduled prior to training camp, Bowles said.
Brown has lobbed grenades at both Brady and Guerrero before, including in the aftermath of his release from Tampa Bay. That particular instance involved Brown trying to get his money back from Guerrero and tweeting out his bank information in a screenshot.
Brady pushed the Bucs to sign Brown after he was suspended following sexual assault accusations. The receiver even stayed with Brady for a time when he first joined the team in Tampa Bay.
Brown, 34, remains a free agent.
