It’s time to dance into spooky season!
As we shift into October, we will notice that autumn is truly upon us. While we will have plenty of sugary and sweet planetary alignments in the heavens above, we will also face our fair share of salty, prickly ones too. There will be a significant spotlight on where we stand in our relationships, bringing into focus our own innate desires and sense of power and how we balance that with others. Passion, union, intimacy and trust will be key themes we face at this time, too.
Yet, while this may sound pleasant and enjoyable, there is much chaos to be found in October. To be completely upfront, we are entering the darkest, most challenging period of 2022—with October, November and December all a hellscape to navigate. Immense havoc will be laid upon our paths, as we face cosmic storms at every angle. The best thing to do above all is to lie low, remain flexible and do not charge into battle—as those who do will most certainly find defeat.

Mercury retrograde ends—and some other planets also wake up
It’s time to shake off some of our roadblocks and confusion! Finally, after feeling like life was hitting snags at every turn due to Mercury retrograde, our planet of the mind will awaken on October 2. He will reach peak speed once again—known as leaving post-shadow—on October 16. This ensures that any of the confusion or miscommunication you experienced since middle August should finally be back on track.
Also, Pluto and Saturn awaken this month, bringing their intensity back to our lives. Everything we’ve reviewed since spring 2022 is being given a chance to manifest around us. Jupiter, the planet of luck, will spin backwards into the seas of Pisces, increasing our reflective and mystical nature until the end of the year.
Eclipse season arrives
Destiny is calling your name! Eclipse season is the period in the year where fate shifts our paths rapidly, bringing sudden and life-changing beginnings, endings, turning points and culminations. Everything will feel intense this month, as if we can sense lightning crackling in the air and something major is just about to happen. A solar eclipse in Scorpio arrives on October 25, bringing a huge fresh start for each of us depending on where it falls for our Sun and Rising signs.

Cosmic wars arrive as Mars retrograde begins
Prepare for drama! Mars, the planet of raw Fire, will soar through Gemini until March 2023! This is because he will fall asleep in the sky beginning October 30, 2022 and remain chained in his retrograde phase until January 12, 2023. Mars is a planet of action, energy and drive, so when he cannot proceed, we experience sharp karmic lessons around how we pursue our desires. Let’s dance with a twin flame!
