‘Innocent bystander’ hit in wrist by stray bullet inside Brooklyn eatery, NYPD says
A 35-year-old woman was struck by a stray bullet inside a Brooklyn restaurant Sunday morning, cops said.
Two males were fighting around 5 a.m. outside Royal Fried Chicken on Rockaway Parkway and Church Ave. in Brownsville when at least one of them fired a weapon, according to police.
One of the bullets pierced one of the restaurant’s windows and struck the customer in the left wrist. She was taken to nearby Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
“Right now she’s believed to be an innocent bystander,” a police spokeswoman said.
There were no arrests and police were investigating.
