Chilling video shows moment retired NYPD detective is shot by stray bullet
Chilling new video obtained by The Post captures the horrifying moment a retired NYPD detective is shot by a stray bullet in Harlem early Tuesday.
The disturbing footage shows former NYPD cop Terence Felder, 60, innocently walking along the sidewalk before he is shot, taking a bullet to the gut and another to his arm, and crumpling to the ground, writhing in pain.
The gunman had been walking by a store near Lenox Avenue and West 125th Street around 7 a.m. when he began firing at a male standing in a doorway, according to cops and the footage.
The male in the doorway wasn’t struck, but he and another suspect then run with their guns drawn and return fire, striking Felder and their target, the footage shows.
The man who was the intended target suffered a graze wound to his neck, cops said.
Felder, who now works for the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, was recovering at home later in the day.
