Zach Wilson will look to put together the first win streak of his NFL career on Sunday when the Jets take on the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.

Wilson was tremendous in the fourth quarter in Pittsburgh Sunday, but will need to put together a better all-around game in his second game back from the knee injury if the Jets want to take down their 3-1 AFC East rival. It won’t be easy, even if it’s against backup QB Teddy Bridgewater.

Speaking of the Jets and Dolphins, arguably the best special teams coach to ever do it Mike Westhoff was a staffer on both teams. Westhoff was our guest on the “Gang’s All Here” podcast with Brian Costello and I. Westhoff always keeps it candid and is one of my favorite interviews because he will just tell it how it is when it comes to the Jets franchise.

Gang’s All Here Podcast with Jake Brown & Brian Costello:

  • WHICH WILSON: Zach was limited with a minor ankle injury Wednesday, but is good to go for Sunday. Which QB will we get? The Middle-of-the-Game Zach or the Fourth Quarter Zach? Will we see him run with the football more?
  • TEDDY & TYREEK: The Jets traded Bridgewater away a few years ago and he beat them when he was in a Broncos uniform. Tyreek Hill chose to go to the Dolphins over the Jets. He wasn’t a fan of the high taxes in NJ/NY.
  • JETS-DOLPHINS PREVIEW: Can the Jets win and improve to 3-2? This is a tough matchup for them against a strong Dolphins defense. Bridgewater has plenty of targets as well. Coz is taking the Dolphins 28-20. I’m taking the Jets 23-20 in a nail-biter thanks to a few key turnovers.

Mike Westhoff Interview:
Former Jets special teams coach

  • SALEH/COACHES: Likes the job the coaching staff has done. Thought the Jets practice at training camp was better than what he saw when he went to the Dolphins practice. Thought Eric Mangini practiced stupidly at times when he was here. Herm Edwards was bad with time management.
  • WILSON’S FUTURE: Not sure yet what he will be. Impressed with his ability to make throws. Not impressed with his situational decisions.
  • PERFECTING THE ONSIDE KICK: Reacting to the Jets’ special teams magic in Cleveland. Breaking down the perfect onside kick.
  • WOODY JOHNSON: He is a big fan of Woody and he has every right to keep the team. Very much on his side.
  • JOE DOUGLAS: He’s done a good job in the draft. He’s a whole lot better than Terry Bradway.
